Complete Idiot Question #43
Okay, I should know the answer to this but I don’t. Everytime I take a picture and want to post it here, the picture is gainormous. How do I size a photo so it fits all nice and neat into my template? I’m using TypePad.

You could open a Flickr account because it’s stupidly easy to upload pictures that way, and they have a feature that lets you put pictures in blog posts at reasonable sizes (and tweak the layout, etc.). And using something like Flickr means that no matter what size you have the photo on your page, people can click on it and get to a larger photo.

Wendy’s got a good suggestion, or fi you have a photo editing program of any kind (don’t need full photoshop — the consumer version of it works, or Kodak has a program, or even the Microsoft JPEG editor (though I wouldn’t use it) works) you can resize the photo or save the jpg at a lower res.

I know the resizing part of it, but How do I determine the dimensions of my blogging area?
