I’m doing a piece for The Believer where I have to learn a whole bunch about Hot Glue Guns in a very short time. Any wisdom greatly appreciated.

  5. Hold the unmelted glue in with your thumb, applying gentle pressure that will prevent clogging the tip of the gun.

  7. 1) Pressurized glue guns (they shoot the glue, rather than letting it just dribble out; we use them where I work) are really cool
    2) But it hurts if you accidentally shoot yourself
    3) I’ve never encountered a situation where a hot glue gun is preferable to a less unwieldy form of adhesion
