Out the Library of Congress Back Door:
I’d be interested to know what the folks at NYPL Labs think of this report that 13% of the material in the Library of Congress catalog can’t be located. Would they laugh? shudder? Josh?

Can’t speak for the Labs or the NYPL, but based on my own crash immersion in the actual nuts and bolts of a library with tens of millions of items and a system of organization that has evolved slowly over a hundred years, I’ve got no stones to throw at the Library of Congress. To me, the last sentence of the Washington Post article says it all.
