Today is my birthday. I’m 30. Yes 30. I’ve been told that 30 is the new 21 which apparently is a theory that’s been all over the place in the last few years and I missed completely. Elaboration is nowhere to be found.

Got home last night. Suzan and I are going to go hiking today and dancing with some friends tonight. Big party is this weekend.

    I’d never heard of Leakey before today, but I just heard a good segment on NPR’s Morning Edition, then tada, he’s mentioned here. (Or did you hear that segment, too?)

    I seem to be running a day behind in wishing people happy birthday for the past few weeks. Anyhow, HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DUDE! Welcome to 30, which if it were a pretentious nightclub would be called “3ty”. Have a good time celebrating this weekend, and remember that it’s just a number.
